      Narrating in flat tone with somewhat bumpy pacing, Talitha Bateman inhabits Aurora "Rory" Franklin, who is sure she's weird. The kids at school certainly think so, and her mother thinks so too--although a bevy of psychologists have declared Rory to be "quirky, but not on the spectrum."
